I can't connect to LND after the update

Yesterday I tried to upgrade the node to version 1.0 yesterday. It succeeded on the 4th try. After that I get the following many different errors. Bitcoin Node and Electrum seem to work without any problems, but LND does not want to work.

Same issue and have tried to reflash the micro sd several times. It is like the update is missing an LND component.

When I tried to go back to 05.4 version of the OS, it won’t even start the node at all. I get an error message saying it is missing containers. I have funds trapped in lighting channels and not sure how to resolve this issue.

I’m thinking of closing the node and force close all the channels, it costs me some money and I’ve been keeping this node for more than 4 years, but the level of support from the developers is very poor.

I wonder if upgrading to the pie5 would fix these issues. Also is getting 99% cpu usage normal?

Yes, the update cannot find the USB connection. we have to wait for them to resolve the problem. you can do this if you really need your node Raspberry Pi issues on 1.0

Thanks for the new image. Flashed and rebooted. Web is no longer accessible. SSH works, but the password is reset, standard PW works for it. But what happens now? Unfortunately, that didn’t really help. Pi 4, LAN, only a few additional apps, no other changes made so far. I also had this LND error before.

Hey @tgm3d are you able to check the dashboard again? It’s expected that the device would come online shortly and then reboot the first time it starts up. It’s possible you SSHd in while the system was up and then checked the ui while it was doing its reboot.

It’s also possible that the IP could’ve rotated or that the device is now accessible on umbrel-1.local or umbrel-2.local.

Hi @nneelis thanks for sharing the logs here and on our support channel, please ignore my other reply.
One issue I can see here is that it seems your Bitcoin node has still not fully resynced yet and hopefully LND has now had time to finishing rescanning the missed blocks. Can you please try restarting the Lightning app (right-click it from the dashboard), and see if you can access it now.

I have exactly the same issue on my Rpi4B.
Everything is working fine after the upgrade to the v1.0.0 excepting the Lightning Node.

The Web UI is constantly loading:

I can’t connect with Thunderhub: “UnableToConnectToThisNode”

I restarted and I can now see my historical bitcoin transactions. It still says scanning all transactions for recovery. Progress! Assuming once it gets through the scan, then I can recover my channels? Appreciate the help.

That all looks normal and expected, it can take quite a long time for LND to catch up again, some users have reported a couple of hours.
