According to the instructions for installing Umbrel OS on x86 platforms ( Install umbrelOS on x86 Systems · getumbrel/umbrel Wiki · GitHub ), I downloaded the latest image and tried to write it to a USB drive using Balena Etcher and Rufus, which resulted in an error at the end of the writing process, and I even tried again on another new USB drive. After the errors, I decided to change the writing mode in Rufus to DD, and then it worked.
