Failed Umbrel Node, new SD flash made things worse

Okay, so I recently moved and took my node with me (Rpi 4) and set it back up. It was running just fine and was able to access it via web browser. Now for the past few months I have been trying to get back in and trouble shoot the failed container issue other users have posted on here.

After not resolving the error, I decided to reflash the SD card. Now umbrel won’t even show up on my network, can’t SSH in. The node is running, solid red light with occasional green blinks. Any help would be appreciated before I start all over by trying to recover my funds and lightning channel balances.

Wifi or LAN?

Hello, I was trying to connect it to wifi when the issue started. It is now connected via LAN.

If you have an extra SD card, format it for PI OS and see if that works.

Are you suggesting to format the SD card for PI OS, and then reflash the Umbrel OS on it?

I would use a new SD card and flash PI OS to see if the hardware can be brought up on the network. Check if something is wrong with the PI. If you are sure the SD card is good, yes. If you are not able to get it back on the network. I wonder about the hardware.

Yeah just tried a new SD card, looks like there is still a boot error (solid red light, occasional 4 green blinks). Maybe the pi is running into issues?
Am I missing something with flashing the SD card? If I flash it with balena etcher, it should format it and flash it with the os, right? Or do I need to format it as exFAT (its 64 GB) before flashing the OS?

Okay, the rpiOS worked just fine and the rpi4 booted up. Maybe I am doing something wrong with the umbrelOS image file when flashing to the SD card?
I will try using an old image of umbrel OS that looks like it is specific for the rPi4, instead of the most recent one. Maybe that will do the trick
