Hello everyone!
I am writing to ask for advice since I have a particular need. I have an old mini-pc model (GMK Nucbox) that would be perfect for hosting UmbrelOS. Unfortunately this mini-pc does not have an ethernet port, however through an external monitor, entering debug mode, I managed to create a wpa_supplicant.conf file in the right path. The network detects the connection of a new device, however I cannot obtain an IP address because the eero network identifies the device as “private”, and every 8 minutes or so it reconnects with a new MAC address. Obviously this makes the host unreachable through the address http://umbrel.local/. Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?
Alright! Did you Disable MAC Address Randomization on eero Network to maintain consistent MAC Address ??
I think it should be disabled directly on the device, however I don’t have enough knowledge to know how to do it! In fact, if anyone can give me some suggestions I will gladly accept them!
I solved by simply buying a plug-and-play usb Ethernet adapter, now everything is working fine.
