Hi community!
My Umbrel for the past few weeks decided to not start any services. My router did not even see its Ethernet or Wi-Fi adapter online. Both Ethernet and Wi-Fi interfaces have static IP. Tried hard restarting and reseating its Ethernet cable connected directly to the router. I can’t reach it by ping, SSH, SMB, HTTP, Tor, or Tailscale from any computer.
Today, I decided to reimage the micro SD card with Umbrel 1.4.2. It then booted and started containers fine. I then tried to write files to it. In the middle of the upload, it went offline again. Couldn’t ping, SSH or HTTP it again, but my router saw it online. Hard restarted it again. After that, I could ping and SSH it, but no HTTP page or SMB share. With SSH, ran sudo reboot
. Same issue after that.
Currently, I only have SSH access, and I can ping it. My home router, Tailscale, and IPFS Podcasting all say it’s online. Can not reach HTTP webpage via local IP, Tailscale, or Tor. Cannot reach SMB share, and the Audiobookshelf mobile app can’t reach it via local or Tailnet IP.
For reference, my Umbrel is a Raspberry Pi 4 B w/ 4 GB RAM, which has been running Umbrel for a few years since before 1.0, and has been kept up to date since. Currently running Umbrel 1.4.2.
I’m not sure what’s going on with my Umbrel now, and am beginning to consider migrating away from Umbrel due to all the service disruptions caused by Umbrel updates breaking stuff. Though in this case, this current issue wasn’t following an update. Does anyone know what I can do for this?
Thank you!
