Hi All - I’m trying to update my Umbrel Home from version 0.5.3 to version 1.0.0; however, it is stuck on “Starting Update…”.

I tried the steps in this link to factory reset my Umbrel Home.

First I reset the Umbrel Home using the command (screenshot attached):

However, I am getting stuck; after I insert the flashed USB into the Umbel and turn it back on, the Umbrel does not automatically reflash and turn off; the device just stays on and keeps running.

When I go to umbrel.local, there is an error (see attached).

Any advice is much appreciated.

Do you have a second USB stick in the Umbrel Home? You should only use the flashed USB stick.

Hi Denny - I only have the flashed USB in the Umbrel Home. Was just pointing out that the flashed USB stick is not doing the reset.

Strange. It should actually work as described in the link. Have you tried using a different USB stick?

Which Umbrel Home do you have? The 2023 model or the current one?
