Did you ever solve this? I even managed to convert the umbrel .img file from MBR to GPT and flash it. However it does not start completely. The read/write led of the NVME board pulses for some seconds but then it dies. EDIT: it seems that a boot drive must be in MBR. So the only solution is to boot…

its because they use the disk image technique instead of using an installer or writing one for their distribution.
