New Pi5. Can't connect to umbrel.local OR IP

Hi all. New Pi5. Put latest Umbrel OS on SD card, booted nicely to SD, put OS on NVMe using imager. Removed SD card, booted nicely to NVMe but can’t resolve http://umbrel.local or the individual IP as reported by IP Scanner (get errors)…

Turned all off and restarted. Now native Imager cannot see the NVMe module to refresh OS and still can’t resolve the IP. Rinsed and repeated. Same issue. Can PING pi. Able to change boot order ok, although didn’t have to since it swapped itself.

Right now Pi boots to NVMe but imager doesn’t list NVMe in the "CHOOSE STORAGE’ dropdown. Mac Studio, latest OS, tried both Ethernet hard wired direct to router and wireless.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Okee Dokee. Things are looking good. I was able to get umbrel OS onto a brand new SD card using both the Pi imager and Balena etcher. However I still cannot see the 1Tb nVME when I boot to the Pi. But… If I change the boot order to boot from the SD card, it boots to Umbrel. Then I can see the Pi on Umbrel.local and run all my Umbrel utilities. It’s truly odd since even though I boot from the SD card, I still cannot see the nVME on the imager device drop downs. Who knows. Consider this solved.

Thanks for those who gave valuable suggestions… and yes, even to that sad guy who trolled me from his cave (he says he lives in a cave… not me. But I guess trolls live in caves).
