How to migrate from a Raspberry Pi Umbrel to Umbrel Home

I have the same problem as bitfrog. Hoping someone can provide some discourse here…

Was hoping someone would chime in on this… is there a manual way to migrate if the migration tool is not working for us?

Mods disappeared in April. :man_shrugging:

I am stuck here too. did the curl command and restarted… 8(

unfortunately, you can not easily migrate using an small internal m2 and large external from pi. I wanted to use the small 256gb m2 as OS and the league ext SSD for bticoing core/etc. My fix after reading the logs (said drive is too small for migration and then locked me out of migration option) was to install a larger m2 drive and let OS migrate core and everything from large SSD from pi to the m2. Not what I wanted but it’s migrating right now. hopefully I can use the SSD as a secondary storage for other apps in OS… :crossed_fingers:

arg it failed again. EXT4-fs errors find entry inode #20: comm gmain: reading directory block 0

restarting process. reinstall home. seems to be failing during copy. same errors. I’m stuck

Was just powering up new Umbrel Home today.
The first thing I did was to update the Umbrel OS to the latest version.
Then I wanted to use the Migrate feature from my early RaspPi4 useage.
It took somewhere between 2 - 3 hours to migrate and one point when I came back, there was the login screen. So I assumed the migration was finished and ready to login to old data.
I logged in, but there seemed like nothing had been migrated and no apps installed. However the disk usage is about 760 GB / 1,96 TB.

So, I installed the Bitcoin core app but it started to download the blockchain from the beginning.

Is this normal?
Am I supposed to point the Bitcoin Core app to the blockchain from the old data?

It seems to be working now.
The node must have been still doing something in the background because it decided to restart itself during blockchain downloading, and after I logged in again, every thing was there from old RaspPi node :+1:
