Bitcoin apps with 'not running' status

I logged into the web UI today and noticed a couple bitcoin app updates available. I selected to update both and 2 hours later they were still ‘updating’. Figuring they were stuck, I restarted via web UI dashboard. Now the all bitcoin related apps are showing ‘not running’ and I have so far been unsuccessful following other similar threads.

I have exactly the same issue. Used the apps last week. Today, none are running? I can’t click them, can’t uninstall them. Please help!

Did you manage to resolve the issue? I’d love to hear from you.

Do you know how to SSH in your node? If so, you can check to see if Docker is running (sudo systemctl status docker) or just try to do a manual reboot (sudo reboot or sudo systemctl restart umbrel). Otherwise if those options don’t seem to work, I’d probably suggest doing a backup and then clean reinstalling everything.

I managed to SSH into my node. I ran sudo systemctl status docker. Would you like me to print the log as a reply?

I see people bove posting logs as an attachment. I have no idea how to do that?

If you’re able to access umbrel.local, go to “Settings”, then “Troubleshoot”, then either “umbrelOS” or select the Bitcoin app. You can then download the logs from there.

Hi, yes, I know how to get the log. Thing is, there are no logs from any app as the apps are “not running”. If I request a log it states, “no logs yet”.

As for the Umbrel node itself. Its a lot of text. How do I post it as an attachment?

There’s an upload feature on the forum. If you click reply to my message, there should be an icon with an arrow pointing up above the text box that you can use to upload your logs.

Thanks for the instruction. I can’t upload the log. Too large a file. Tried to upload .pdf and .rtf but it won’t let me. I know it’s me but I just keep getting stuck.

All logs for the apps specific come up empty.

I converted part of the log to a .png file and it seems to let me upload it. Not sure if that’s workable for you?

Hmm, seems like the Docker / Umbrel services are working fine from the log file. The last thing to check would be if you have available space in your device but otherwise, I think a clean reinstall would be the most straightforward option here. Do you know how to back up your data?
