I was running umbrelOS 1.2 on a Pi4 and everything was working fine. I upgraded to 1.3 and now I’m having issues. Is there any way I can rollback 1.3 so I’m back to running 1.2? I was looking for the 1.2 image for the Pi4 thinking that I could reflash the Pi’s sd card… but I can’t seem to find the older 1.2 for a Pi4. Any help would be appreciated.
You can download 1.2.2 from the released page on Github here.
You can reflash the SD card with that image and you should be good to go. Afterwards, you’ll have to either do a manual migration (either with the wizard or pointing it to the external hard drive, or copying over the folders such as blocks/chainstate/index back).
To be safe, I would reflash another SD card and put that in your Pi4 just in case instead of overwriting the 1.3 SD Card.
After playing with 1.3 on a Pi4 I’ve come to the conclusion that 1.3 requires too many of the Pi4’s resources to run without problems on the Pi4. It runs fine if you are only running 1.3 on the Pi4 with only 2 or 3 apps. When you have the Pi4 loaded with 5 or 6 apps… you then start to have problems with 1.3 sucking up all the available resources. Basically, 1.3 has gotten too bloated for the Pi4. If you’re going to run 1.3 or any version that will come in the future… it would be best to do it on a Pi5.
