All apps stopped working

Yup, I’m going to give it another try. Thanks again.

Since it’s already confirmed that the SSD is on the move…

In case you decide to keep the RPI and not follow @mkh’s advice…

I would format ssd, reflash sd with umbrel and start from scratch with a fresh installation and be sure not to have any problems… And after it’s installed, use the lsblk command again to confirm that the SSD is there and not on the move like now…

Another tip. Things like this shouldn’t be done through a phone/tablet… you’re inviting free problems. Use a PC.

Well, I’ll leave you… I’m going to try to revive my social life because it’s as dead as my sex life.

It was a pleasure to have shared with you… it was fun

@jofraprez is right about doing it on a PC. To get the SSD working in Umbrel you’re going to need to do some work with editing /etc/fstab. That will be easier with a keyboard and probably a text editor while you work on the lines you need to add and the commands to use in the right order. Especially in case you make mistakes and have to start over you’ll at least be able to look back at what may have gone wrong and what may have gone right.

Edit: Or you can wait a little bit for UmbrelOS 1.4 beta 2 when they’re supposed to add additional internal/external drive support.

Thanks again to you both. I’m going to try from scratch on the pi, and will use a pc for setup.

Good luck with that sex life. I’m a 60 year old hippie. After years of thinking mine was over, I finally found a new girlfriend. And I met her at the local golf course, so you never know where or when it might happen!
