This worked for me. I had basically all of the issues you described, that is, no wallet balances showing after update to 0.4.8. I followed all of the relevant things in the troubleshooting guide to no avail. this line fixed me up
Make a copy of your lnd.conf. and then
delete your conf with rm ~/umbrel/lnd/lnd.conf && ~/umbrel/scripts/configure && sudo reboot
Both of my wallet balances are showing accurate now. Ride the lightning is still not loading properly.
