Hi, I’m unable to access Umbrel.local in Brave - either when typing Umbrel.local or typing the IP address (OK in Chrome), I can’t find my node IP on Angry IP scanner. So there’s something wrong in my Brave settings but I don’t know what! Pointers would be greatly appreciated thank you
I have this exact issue too. Are you attempting to access on a mac? Cause that would be my precise issue.
To resolve the issue you can clear the DNS cache by going to brave://net-internals/#dns and clicking “Clear host cache.” Also, check the privacy settings under brave://settings/shields and disable the “Prevent sites from fingerprinting me” option.
In the privacy settings, make sure that “Secure DNS” is either turned off or properly configured. Allow insecure local connections by going to brave://flags, searching for “Allow invalid certificates for localhost,” and enabling this setting.
In the network settings under brave://settings/security, set the Safe Browsing mode to “Standard.”
Additionally, you can flush your system’s DNS cache by opening the command prompt on Windows and typing ipconfig /flushdns, or on macOS, running sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder in the terminal.
If necessary, temporarily disable all extensions to avoid potential conflicts. If the issue persists, try creating a new Brave profile to check if it’s a profile-related problem.
I hope this helps.
