Hey everyone! I’ve been experimenting with the carrier board CmRat by DTV Electronics, which features the Radxa CM3 (Compute Module 3) with 8GB of RAM.
I started by flashing it with Radxa OS (a Linux Debian-based system). Afterward, I accessed it via SSH and installed CasaOS directly from the command line.
Here’s where it gets interesting: I managed to install Umbrel on top of CasaOS in a docker container! I originally thought Umbrel could only be installed as a standalone OS on Raspberry Pi or the Umbrel Home, but it turns out it’s possible—and it works great. I was able to sync the blockchain and electrs in under five days, and I’m very happy with the results.
