Umbrel OS disconnects support

Hi,

I am having issues with my Umbrel OS through:

  • Raspberry Pi 5 with 8GB RAM
  • SSD 2TB NVME Crucial P3 M.2 PCIe Gen3

For a year I have had no issues with this configuration, but now, all of a sudden my umbrel is disconnecting after less than 1h running.

Today I have reset to factory settings, and the issues persists, and I only have the Bitcoin Core synchronizing installed right now.

I have been trying to find answers in this forum, and I have run following commands:

To check the SSD health:
sudo smartctl -a /dev/nvme0n1
SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: PASSED

To check the status of the RAM:
free -h
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 7.9Gi 2.1Gi 132Mi 7.3Mi 5.7Gi 5.7Gi
Swap: 0B 0B 0B

Do you have any idea what could be the potential issue of this disconnection after short amounts of time?

UPDATE: I have reflashed umbrel again fresh, and for the moment after 2 hour is working smoothly

Apparently not, I changed the socket, now works smooth again…

Yeah im having the issue and ive heared some other node runner have the issues too. He thought the pi 5 doesnt power the ssd well. This is actually better then when i used to use a usb drive where it would disconnect much longer. At least this reconnects after an hour or two. I have a fan in mine so i dont think its the thermal. Them temps never seem out of whack when i check it.
