My 1 TB SSD is now full and Bitcoin Core keeps crashing.
Was thing of switching to Knots anyway.
Can I just plug in a 2 TB SSD and start again?
Nothing else on the server to worry about.
Mine too, but I have 50 GB of free space on a 1TB drive. How full is yours? I know I need to handle this, but I thought I had some time…

I checked logs and saw lots of errors about not enough free space
mine isn’t stable, same thing , Bitcoin core keeps crashing. 50Gb is a lot, but I don’t know what I can safely delete… keep me posted
I tried pruning my Bitcoin Node… most things didn’t like that. Electrum wouldn’t work, so that basically broke everything. I’m re-indexing the whole chain, I’ll try to remember to report back… in days.
I bought a 2tb ssd and just plugged it in.
Umbrel booted like it was a fresh install, new password etc, no apps.
So I am now re-synching blockchain but using knots this time though.
Bitcoin is eating 804Gb atm + Electrum ~54Gb atm + most of the 1Tb drives are about 960Gb actually. Eazy peazy!
I have just experienced the same issue this morning.. was 650GB into blockchain download using knots… have you worked out what happened?
I’m day 2 of a likely 5-7 full resync… Fingers crossed, but no new news to report. 1TB doesn’t cut it anymore.
i found this article which seems successfull , as i am about to begin my move to a bigger drive. i just didnt want to resynch it all again!
