Hello,
i tried to install unbrel os on my tiny server.
Because i actually have no bootable Windows machine by hand i used dd to
generate the boot stick. I think it succeeded because i can boot into that stick with legacy mode and uefi and install it on local ssd. The problem is when i reboot after finishing the install my Bios dont show me umbrel to boot, not in legacy mode and not in uefi mode. I even tried to install on another ssd no boot entry. Can you give me some guidance eventually ? This is also the way i usually install debian and so on and never got those problems.
Did you install umbrelOS onto the SSD whilst in UEFI or Legacy mode? You need to be in UEFI mode in order for the install to succeed.
If you have installed with UEFI mode but it’s still not booting, try disabling legacy mode and Secure Boot if enabled. If that still doesn’t work, you may need to try and create the USB media a different way and try installing again.
In rare cases, your hardware might just be incompatible with umbrelOS.
estou tendo o mesmo problema, a placa mãe e uma asRock h61o sistema umbrel instala normal pelo pen driver, mas quando reinicia não aparece a tela inicial do umbrel os .
Translated: I am having the same problem. The motherboard is an AsRock H61, and the Umbrel system installs normally via USB stick, but when it restarts, the UmbrelOS home screen does not appear.
Home Screen? You mean it is not booting up to an Umbrel login: prompt?
The Home Screen for Umbrel is access only from a Web Page and is where you set the password to be able to login.
