Privacy - hide umbrel behind tor

Let’s say I have Snort installed on my node
I can connect to it through onion service - that would hide my IP from my Snort instance
Then say I post something. I assume all the relays I use will know my Umbrel IP unless the connection also goes through tor. But does it?

I guess what I am asking is: How to ensure that umbrel connects to the outside world via tor?

In terms of accessing snort, given it’s self-hosted on your own machine I wouldn’t worry about your IP in that case, since it’s just local software.

On the relay side, I’ll need to double-check this, but when I open my snort instance over TOR it does look like im connecting to a relay’s onion address? You could always check with Kieran, and I know he’s been adding more TOR features to snort recently
