Not possible to create a bootable USB

Hi I followed the instructions of the how-to install page for a PC. But BalenaEtcher fails in the validation and says the core might be corrupt. I tried to flash it it on 2 different PCs and also a Mac, I get same error. I downloaded it from the git page on every PC.

i downloaded the pi imager form the pi page, it did flash its not bootable. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
