NOSTR Relay Storage

Sorry to bother, but Im new on all this stuff.

If I Install the Nostr Relay, can I specify the storage unit or will it compete with Bitcoin Node for space?

Nostr posts are very lightweight as they’re just JSON. I wouldn’t worry, I’ve been using mine for months and it only takes up 13.2MB

Thanks, I’ll get mine running then !!
I have no skills on this but very excited about the power of decentralised tools.

Umbrel/Luke made the Nostr relay very simple, should be a breeze, enjoy!

Sorry to bother you. I think I have successfully got the Node running. But have not been able to add the relay to my client (Amethyst)
I used both:
ws://ip_address:4848 and
ws://Name-Ubuntu:4848 and
ws://Name-Ubuntu.local:4848

Neither show to be connected. Any suggestions?

Ah ok, I assume this Ubuntu server isn’t running within your local network, so connecting via that ip address won’t help.
Yeah you’ll need to download tailscale from the appstore, and then set it up on the devices you use nostr from, as per the tip under step 1. Then ws://umbrel:4848 should work fine! (or the IP given by tailscale for the node)
