I’ve been using the LND on Umbrel for almost two years now. Haven’t had too many problems, but as time has gone on and I do Umbrel updates or other App updates, then restart the Umbrel or the RPI, the length of time for the Lightning Node to reach channels active status has ballooned to over 24 hours.
What it seems is happening is that whenever the node restarts, the node rebuilds all the history of transactions, one-by-one, until it catches up to the last one. This process is slow and time consuming and my channels are offline during the entire time.
Any thoughts on how to solve this? I’ve played around with the Advanced Settings, including the Database Sync option that is supposed to use a public database list. Maybe I have the port blocked and that doesn’t work? Any help is appreciated!
