I am trying to write the ISO to a bootable USB drive, but without success. Every time I try, it gives an error.
I have downloaded it several times and even tested it on another computer, but the error persists. I can’t create the ISO with either Balena or Rufus. It always says the file is corrupted.
Another point: Is there already a bootable ISO for installation on a Xen Server or Hyper-V?
I’m having the same problem. The extraction works fine up to about 96% then I get an “ISO image extraction failure” message. I’ve attempted to extract the image with the .iso and .img file. Multiple downloads and on two different computers. If anyone can help resolve this issue it would be much appreciated. I’ve tried two different extration programs. I’m using a 64gig USB drive. Is that too big? I’m dumbfounded.
Rxmas. I did get this issue resolved. Email support and ask them for the CORRECT link to download the right image file for your specific operating system. Then make sure your system security (anit-virus) is off when you create the image usb, otherwise it could block one or more of the files being compiled. Use Rufus to extract. I hope this helps. Let me know.
You need to take that Downloaded iso File and make it Bootable. On my Debian Forky Linux I used the GNOME Disks Utility to burn the iso to my Thumbdrive as a Bootable operating System. I then Open my Virtual Machine Manager and Create a New Virtual Machine as a Debian 13 ( UmbrelOS is built upon Debian ) and give it half my RAM and a hefty 26 GB Storage to play in. If you are on a Windows or Apple thing your going to need a Tool like Belina Etcher to take this iso and make i t a Bootable System on your Flashdrive. Then go from there to Install it somewhere or I suppose run it as a Live operating System. May the Source always be with you #!
