i cannot access umbrel.local due to the start up service failed for any reason. I did a new installation, nothing works.

Are you using a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 2GB RAM? The 2GB version doesn’t have enough memory to run Umbrel. You need the 4GB or the 8GB version.
