When I change some configuration in the Datum Gateway it’s asking me to enter a user and password to save the change.
When I enter the default it doesn’t work. Tried the Umbrel login and password and it still doesn’t work. Tried with umbrel/umbrel, admin/umbrel, My username for Umbrel/umbrel, tried with capital letters, tried leaving it blank and I always get an error after a couple of try. Restarted the Datum. Anyone had this problem before?

I opened the Jason file. First line is bitcoind rpcuser umbrel, rpcpassword: a long password that doesn’t match anything in my passwords.
Under api
admin_password: “umbrel”
So if I try to understand the password is umbrel or the longer one that I didn’t choose?

Yah, give them a try.
Same issue here, DATUM was updated and it asks for password after that, password from “Show credentials” doesn’t work, that same password is in the datum_gateway_config.json file.
admin/umbrel doesn’t work as well, custom password was not set and the login info from “Show credentials” was always used and that worked, but after the update for some reason nothing works.
Strangely it works on Firefox, for some reason on Safari it has issues described above.

Didn’t solve anything. I use Firefox, and did the last update. Can’t save because the password does not work. Even after a reinstall.

Your password is now deterministically generated by umbrel. You can consult your password in the app store page.
maybe recreate the .json with passwords and restart?
This was really bugging me because it didn’t make any sense, so I googled it a little today and found this thread, someone said there that he solved this issue by changing a browser and was wondering why there is a problem with Safari, and since I only use Safari I had to try so I picked Firefox and in my case it really works in Firefox, don’t know more than this.
It’s not just Umbrel but Start9 has the same problem, anyway the password from the app store page isn’t working, but only in Safari, or maybe there are more browsers, can’t really tell, but that same password works for me in Firefox, so it’s weird, no idea what’s going on.
