Channels forced to close

I have had one of my largest channels forced to close in the last week and I think it’s happening again. It seems to start with funds in limbo, then the channel goes offline and the next thing I notice is a channel being forced closed. How would I investigate the root cause/prevent it from happening? I take my node offline and ensure no limbo balances before I do shutdown/restart. Also, I have done a restart in some time meaning 24 days with no power losses that I’ve logged.

Hey @stinger32 !
If you’re using ThunderHub you should be able to see who initiated the closure.
It may be your peer that force closed the channel, if your lightning node was offline during a long time, in that case i’d recommend the use of a watchtower.
