Change SSD. Hardware

Hello guys I need change my ssd. How can I change it? It’s possible clone the ssd and just plug the new one or I need do something more? Thanks guys.

Yes, its just like any other Linux system.
You boot a live USB or CD and clone. Some people like clonezilla while others prefer to do it slowly using a Live install USB of their favorite linux and use the dd command in a terminal.

I do the clonage in Balena, but some do it bad because the Umbrel don’t recognize, don’t connect.

To properly clone the drive, you have to boot from a usb operating system away from Umbrel.
So, the quickest way would be make a clonezilla live usb and clone the drive.

You have to boot from a usb and not booted from the os drive you are trying to clone.

The system are in micro se card.

easiest way to do it would be on a PC with clonezilla on a usb boot. Plug in the SD card in the PC and the SSD drive, and then boot to the clonezilla usb, Select device-device clone, set the the source as the SD card and the target the device as the SSD.

If the device is ARM, based you need to use AARCH64 version of clonezilla:

I don’t know what are you using. But the umbel box does have an HDMI port on it. Just not accessible when its assembled unless you cut out the plastic:

So that Is why I would suggest cloning the SD card from a PC
