Can Umbrel OS be installed on an internal HDD instead of an internal SSD?

Hello, All…first time poster.

Can Umbrel OS be installed on an internal HDD instead of an SSD? While I know that SSDs are preferable, the largest capacity SSD that I have is a 512 GB one. Is that enough for a solo Bitcoin Pool and synch of the blockchain? I have a pile of higher capacity (3 TB, 5TB, 6 TB) HDDs that I could use, if this were feasible and the Umbrel OS could be installed onto and boot from an internal HDD.

Please advise, as 2TB SSDs are too expensive and out of stock, lately. Thanks a lot.

You can, but it’ll be extremely slow, especially for the initial blockchain sync, it could take weeks to finish.
