I have installed knots and public pool is there anything else required to mine with my bitaxe devices

Other software any configurations other than pointing the bitaxe pool stratum host and stratum port number?

Nope that is it.

You can use DATUM or Bassin instead of Public Pool.

Using DATUM you can configure Pool tag and Miner Tag if interested.

Make sure you also have a valid BTC Wallet address!!!
