Apps constantly on "starting" mode via Tor

Hey there,

Lately, I noticed that some of the apps (most of the time BTC Pay server and Tailscale) are constantly in “starting” mode

Either when the apps stop “starting” and look ready to go… I get an “Onionsite not found” error

Also tried to restart the node without any luck

Any suggestion on how to fix this?

PS: connecting outside the local network

tailscale_tor_server_1 Restarting (1) 57 seconds ago
tailscale_web_1 Up 7 days
and is appearing like is restarting each time a run a log from the /umbrel/settings page

Indeed for btcpay-server_nbxplorer_1 Up 7 days but the icon in the dashboard still shows that is “starting” 🤷

Any other information I can share to be able to activate/access/run Tailscale again via Tor?

Hey, as you are reading this, please try to replicate this issue by following the steps below:

1. Copy your umbrel-node-address.onion from here umbrel.local//settings/#account
2. Open a New Private window with Tor using Brave
3. Paste your umbrel-node-address.onion and login to your umbrel.node
4. IF you don’t have already, install and setup Tailscale
5. Respond to this thread and let me know if you are experiencing the same issue

Unfortunately not, I think is just a Tor thing with TailScale. ATM is the only app that still endlessly in Starting... mode

From the local network everything it’s working fine

Uninstalling and reinstalling Tailscale usually fixes this,

You can also share a debug log we can see what’s going on via System > Troubleshoot > Start,

Reflashing a MicroSD card or rebooting any Linux install also is the biggest fix for this
