2FA at login is failing

Hi - I tried to login to my umbrel today after a few months and the 2FA is failing. hmm.

The password is correct, and the 2FA is also correct - both stored in a password manager. I never had this issue before.

My system clock is correct. tried a few times. tried on brave and edge. no luck.
I can SSH in, and so I did a reboot via SSH. no luck.
I can get into pi-hole directly, port 8082, so i did that to turn it off. no difference tho.

this article 2FA suddenly incorrect suggested removing the 2FA key from user.json, but i only find the user.json.migrated file in there. I did remove the value from the .migrated file but it has no effect. I gues the user.json file is now someplace else.

How can i use SSH to disable 2FA?
anything else for suggestions?

Umbrel version is probably 1.1 i think!
it says “Linux umbrel 6.6.51+rpt-rpi-v8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.6.51-1+rpt3 (2024-10-08) aarch64” at ssh login.

That fixed it for me! THX!! Yay, I’m logged back in now.

I noted inside there if someone can update the <1.0 thread for Version 1.x users, as it is only applicable for versions prior to 1.0.
