Upgrade to UmbrelOS 1.4.2 - 1.5 not working

I can perform the upgrade but after the reboot am back into UmbrelOS 1.4.2. Am running on Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB Memory.

SOLUTION:

Just found solution that worked for me here. I can't update umbrel from 1.4 to 1.4.2 😢 - #8 by swizly12

Just replaced 1.4.2 with 1.5.0 in the command and it worked for me, am now on 1.5

I have the same issue on a Rpi 5 with 8GB Ram, the update is never happening. It gets stuck at ā€œRestarting pageā€, until I unplug the Rpi, and I am back to 1.4.2

Can someone support, please?

Here to report I’m experiencing the same issue on my Pi 5 8GB. I’m glad I’m not the only one. Looking forward to hearing from the Umbrel team about a potential fix.

Same here - I have 1.4.2 on a Intel NUC (Model NUC10i7FNH) and when I click ā€œInstall Nowā€, the progress bar works, but when it says ā€œRestartingā€ it hangs. I let it sit for two hours just to make sure, but finally I turned off my NUC and when I turned it back on, it’s still on 1.4.2. I tried this twice with the same result.

I have a Raspberry Pi 4 - 8 GB and the update was successful and everything seems to be working fine.

Those Pi4 8GB seem to be the stuff. I know when I ran one, it was unstoppable but slow. I’m glad to read they are still rocking.

Wondering if money is the same type of issue. Its a pi5 with 8gb. Trying to download a btc node on btc knots, and its keeps getting stuck syncing. Reset, then its fine for a while.

An additional note for anyone that still cannot run this update even with the command: You can still just install the update manually by removing the SD card from the Pi, plug it into your computer, and install the latest version using Etcher.

That’s what I ended up doing because nothing else worked for me. Thankfully I had Umbrel OS installed separately from my external SSD storage so everything came back online with no issue after manually installing the OS using Etcher.
