Hi just received and plugged in my Umbrel Home. Amazing, slick and polished, can’t believe the quality. First I clicked on Umbrel updates which was quick and I didn’t think much of it. Next I downloaded Bitcoin Knots recall download not too big as it happened very quickly. Note, I deliberately did not open and run Knots yet because I thought it would download the bitcoin blockchain some 650Gb? That would smash my monthly data at home. A friend and bitcoin bro said to bring it to his place, to download and sync as he has unlimited fast data in his own business. This morning I notice in my router configuration overnight that Umbrel has downloaded 465Gb taking its disk storage used to 607Gb. I blocked it’s connection in the router. The penalty for going over from my ISP in my location is significant cost, almost the cost of the Umbrel itself…Ouch! I can only assume that Umbrel must be downloading the bitcoin blockchain? What else could it be doing to consume 465Gb? Yet Knots sits on the Umbrel home page unopened?
Did you check that it downloaded the blockchain data before bringing it back with you? apparently that was never done if it downloaded less than 200gb. The full blockchain should be around 700-800gb

So, yes, if someone else has this data that you can get a copy of, it would be a lot easier and faster than trying to download it yourself.
It auto-starts from the download. To stop it from the home page, right-click the application icon and select stop. It will be off until you choose to restart the application or the node.
