By way of background I am an undergrad student in Computer Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
I am working on a paper on LN and how this network infrastructure is disrupting cross-border payment rails 
I am opening channels with nodes but I am bit constraints by my lack of inbound liquidity. Could you some of you help me by opening channel with me.

Reciprocated channels are useless. Will not give you too much incentive or advantage.
You better look for opening channels with known peers
or use Rings of fire or Lightning Network Plus rings
or use
automatically rebalanced channels
Also a 200k channel will not brings you too much liquidity.
I used small channels <500k only for micro-payments (less than 10k sats/tx) only for pushing use of micropayments with almost zero fees/channel.
