I have been trying to vibecode my way into a OpenClaw setup on my umbrel, but it has been a massive pain. I managed to get several external models working, but there is always something that breaks. I managed to install web search with a gemini API key (somehow), but after installing more stuff and playing with config.json, the API key disappeared and now I am in loops to get it working again. This is supposed to be simple, straightforward stuff. I was unable to get gemini to be used as image processor. So many other errors, numerous reinstalls. Pain.
Huge pain to get this running. Are there any plans to make this more usable? This is literally one of the most important apps in 2026.
