Need help with downloading BTC blockchain to external SSD not internal

Hi, I am totally new to running a node or any of this deeply technical computer stuff.

I am also not terminal literate, and quite frankly, it scares me.

I’m asking for help with setting up my Umbrel BTC node so that it downloads the 500GB blockchain file to my external 2T SSD that i got for this purpose

In trying various combinations of descriptive paths in the Docker Container pop-up window, I’m finding that the system is still actually downloading to my internal hard drive (which is rapidly filling up, and I can’t even find which file it is filling up so I can delete it later)

In container, I used these settings:
/volumes/BTC Umbrel/umbrel data (BTC umbrel is my external SSD drive, and umbrel data is the folder i prepared for this, and i use the ‘browse’ function to find this path)

/umbrel

/var/run/docker.sock. /var/run/docker.sock

I have also navigated to the “file sharing” aspect of Dockers settings, and input the ssd drive path as part of /Volumes (I try to input the exact folder but system seems to reject that)

and I have restarted both my computer and docker to try to seal in the juices

So I would super appreciate some help and guidance, to get the BTC blockchain file directed properly onto my SSD drive, as I surely do not have 500 GB available on my internal to house this information.

Thank you in advance!

fun fact: I tried many things to direct the blockchain file to the external drive, and the external drive got very hot and then stopped working and is now no longer recognized by the system

So then I bought an Umbrel home node.
