Can I connect an external SSD storage drive to umbrel home to increase my storage there?
Goal is to run lightning node = need more storage

You can connect the drive for sure, I did that with WD SSD 2T, it works normal, now here comes the problem, my goal was to free some space on Umbrel Home 2T drive by moving Monero blockchain to that external drive, moving was fine, but telling Monero app to look for the blockchain data on that external drive was an issue so I ended up aborting the process. I also have Bitcoin and Bitcoin Knots blockchains but I didn’t want to mess with those, moving Monero would be just fine. I tried everything I could to make it work but it’s simply not possible, for whatever reason. Telling it where to look for it is very easy, drive is auto-mounted and you can see the path in the Files app, I tried mounting on my own via terminal, making symbolic link, I am not a stranger to Linux so all that is not a problem, you restart the service and it starts fine, it even says it’s synced 100%, but then starts to error out, looking at logs it says permissions are the problem, but everything is with right permissions, tried various things numerous times. I couldn’t figure it out and that was that, moved back to Umbrel Home the blockchain data and it’s still there. I would even sync again, but that wasn’t working either.
Now, I tried only with Monero, so there you go, it might be working with Bitcoin but I can’t risk it with Bitcoin, it might even start working but then stop later for whatever reason related to external drive, so I didn’t try.
