Maximum files capacity in umbrel 1.4?

The new version of Files 1.4 is great for file management, especially for feeding files to apps like PLEX, which was previously very complicated on Umbrel.

However, I’m having issues managing large files (over 10GB). Even though I drag them into the explorer like any other file, they transfer but never actually get copied. Once the transfer is complete, the file just disappears and is never copied.

This only happens with large files over 10GB. For example, I have no issues with 6GB files.

I’m using Umbrel version 1.4, and the 2TB SSD it’s running on was formatted as EXFAT.

Any suggestions? Can anyone test on their Umbrel to see if they have the same issue?

The issue might be related to exFAT, as it can sometimes cause problems with large files on Linux. If possible, try copying the file using the terminal. If that doesn’t work either, reformatting to ext4 could help, unless you need Windows compatibility.
