As a geek interested in net neutrality, political issues, governance, and personal data protection, Umbrel is of great interest to me.
I currently have a Helios64 powered by Armbian on which I self-host services and do a little backup.
The world of sysadmin, the terminal, and the command prompt is fantastic, but keeping the machine running “every day” and making sure I’ve thought of everything so as not to leave a gaping hole in terms of security (hello Fail2Ban) stresses me out on a daily basis.
I’ve been looking for a tool like Umbrel for a long time to make my life easier, so I’m super happy to have found it.
In short. TLDR: Are you considering support for Helios64? It’s a great machine and I’d love to use Umbrel on it
