Installing Umbrel on a PC without using UBUNTU

Hi, Umbrel Community,
I have tried unsuccessfully to install Umbrell on an old PC using Ubuntu (with correct 8GB RAM and 1TB SSD hard drive).
Please could someone send a non-techie a step-by-step guide using a different operating system to install Umbrell?

Try installing Debian instead.
SpiralLinux is quite nice way of installing it pretty easily but other distributions based on Debian should be able to install Umbrella on it.
Do note that this is expected to become an umbrel server, and so, is expected to be run most of the time. You shouldn’t use it as an actual desktop computer when it’s set to be working as an umbrella server.
