I am new to the world of LN and I do not understand why my Lightning folder was deleted and I cannot restore, I thought that automatic backups were made to my sdd and not to a server, I have restored my 24 words 2 times but the results do not appear channels or giving to recover and I have no backup.
Some of the backups that appear in karen.log
Can you send me a copy, I have tried to ask for help on telegram but only scammers speak to me impersonating the administrators.
sorry my bad english

Well, the last invoice that I paid from wallet of satoshi was 1000 sat on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 9:02 p.m. in Spain to my local node UMbrel, so at that time it worked for me, surely the backup that I ask of you is from an hour before by but at this time it was working, then it was offline for a few hours and it was operational again around 11:50 p.m. on August 22 and first thing in the morning on August 23.
Two files backup not working for me.
More info.
It was working correctly, my computer restarted unexpectedly and when I started again in the umbrel panel, the lightning node icon had disappeared, I checked the installation page and almost all the files had been deleted except for some that I have saved , I tried to click install and it did not install, I manually removed the docker and ran the installer again (the bitcoin node) had not been removed and the chain was synchronized, it is a server with openlitespeed and other resources, I had to modify the ngnix port and I take advantage of the docker installation that I had from other applications, sorry my bad english
These are all the backups that were uploaded before it broke, I’ve tried the two that you sent me and I get the same error, have I lost my LN balance forever?

Hi @Piradoxlanieve, it is worth trying older back-ups too, Jim can help you out with those if you need them too.
When you reinstalled lightning, I assume you used the original seed phrase you already had?
@smolgrrr@usernameisJim error is : “Unable to recover channel backup, unable to unpack chan backup: chacha20poly1305: message authentication failed.”
The following error could be that I was already having problems and the file that was sent to me is already failing?
I have a mobile capture closing a channel on August 21, 2023 at 8:51 p.m. Spanish time and another with 2 open channels on August 21, 2023 at 9:06 p.m. Spanish time.
If the 24 words are correct since the main chain synchronizes me and I have a balance but not in the LN or the 2 open channels that I had.
I am using DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION=“Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS”
I have port 80 busy and I had to change it to another free port for nginix
Something very strange has happened, after deleting 10 times or more and restoring the 24 words again, this time backup points have come out, I have tried one but they put both channels close, I have tried hitting the recover button and now the recovery files no longer appear.
The two channels that were open appear as closing , I suppose they have closed on their own because they are not online, and my funds will return to the mainnet in 2-3 days
Great outcome! Yes, most times when a lightning node with channels is recovered from failure, LND by default will close the channels when the back-ups are used.
