Hey guys I’m trying to setup my Plex server on my pi 5 that’s running my BTC node (temporary my other server went down). I got Plex installed just fine but when I try to plug my external drive in its telling me that’s only supported on home??? For real there’s gotta be a work around right?
Hardware is a pi 5 in a Argon NEO 5 M.2 NVME PCIE Case with cooling and a 2tb SSD the external is a 4tb western digital spinning disc.
Beta 1.5-2 support external devices on custom devices. However, please be aware that there isn’t currently any supported way of utilizing external devices for storing app data such as your media library. The current methods of handling that will break on either app updates (modifying the docker-compose file) or possibly break on OS updates (unifying partitions or using commands on the terminal).
