Since I updated to Umbrel 1.0 and over, I’ve had a cumberstone problem: At random, out of the blue, my Bitcoin Core node start showing lots of “Directory block failed checksum” errors, as you can see on the attached image.
The odd thing is that never happened before when I had umbrel 0.5 with debian: The server was rock stable, even with power outages.
Now with umbrel 1.0 and later editions, I made a fresh install with bitcoin core, electrs and lightning node and that’s it; wait a couple of days for the btc core to be fully sync and in two or three days it starts with those failed checksum errors.
I thought it could be a damaged ssd, but I did a full checkdisk and 3 hours later it didn’t find any wrong sectors, still I erased and partioned again the whole disk and then made a new fresh Umbrel 1.1.2 installation, with only those 3 apps, but then a couple of days later, again those same errors show again and again and again.
I starting to give up the umbrel node and use that hardware for any other purpose since this situation is very aggravating.
Do you think it can be fixed?
