Every time I go to the dashboard it tells me to update to 4.16 and it goes through the install and tells me it updated but it actually does not. I’ve tried restarting many times and the logs don’t seem to have anything glaring. Any ideas? Thanks!

Try to reflash the mSD card with the latest version, if you use a RaspPi device. Is faster and easier.
Also in the troubleshooting manual you will find how to do the manual update, through SSH.
