Is there any way to connect transmission via RPC without changing any setting that can hurt security? or simply allow RPC and put a password on it?
Ok just writing so people might understand a bit more.
I actually managed to do all the crazy stuff with Umbrel and Transmission is one of it.
Adding username and password add additional security layer but removes smooth the experience. Do not bother adding RPC port, username etc etc. I tried all combinations and there is always a tradeoff.
I forced the transmission container to follow my settings in a dirty way(some settings simply removed) to see what would happen. Well forcing the app makes it misbehave.
I just wanted Umbrel to open transmission as it is but connect with third party apps with password. This is simply not possible.
