Changing the umbrel:local:2018 to the IP of the Umbrel and opening port 2018 on my router seemed to fix the issue for me.

hello guys, i have the same problem i cant connect to my node pool. any suggestions? what kind of directions did you give? as a device i have an avalon nano 3
as pool version 9c14003
node bitcoin version 28.0

You have to set as pool something like that

stratum+tcp://192.168.178.150:2018

similar issue… I am trying to point an S9 that is using HiveOS firmware. I tried the IP address but unfortunately didn’t work. Surely its user error on my part any suggestions would be much appreciated.
