Priv password for SSH not know + guide

I have some very rusty Linux skills. With the new Umbrel.home, I set up an account under my name, I am able to SSH (ssh umbrel@umbrel.local) in, yet all every command prompts for a password which us not excepted. I have not set the username umbrel as far as I recall.

Is there a good reference, which gets the device to a good level of set for things like above once device goes through the UI config ?

Thx

Interesting, it should be the same password as you used when logging in via ssh umbrel@umbrel.local.

When logging in, can you please also try ssh -t umbrel@umbrel.local

I’m getting nowhere trying to SSH into my Umbrel Home with the new 1.0 update also. I keep getting this error:

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

There’s more to the error about someone potentially trying something nasty and man-in-the-middle etc… I tried the “-t” option also, nothing different.

Nevermind. After RTFM, I realized I needed to edit the local host file. Got right in. Leaving this here in case you overlooked it too.
