I got a new umbrel home a few days ago, I started it and installed bitcoin node. it synced fine up till around 78% but now it says 0 peers and its not going any further.

That became my issue (still dealing with it); I would let it keep going, but if it starts going backwards (the sync gets smaller) then I would take action…it might just be in a bottleneck of sorts.
Mine has been “syncing” for MONTHS
Verify that port 8333 (the default Bitcoin P2P port) is open. You may need to set up port forwarding on your router to allow incoming connections to Umbrel. After that restart your Umbrel Home.
