Can't login to n8n app

Hi there.

I think I did a cookie reset on my browser a few days ago. Now, I can’t open n8n app. It asks for an email and password which I never did. Indeed, if I click on “forgot password”, says “Please contact your admin. n8n isn’t set up to send email right now.”.

I think this already happened before, and it was because I changed the IP address of umbrel home. I finally needed to reinstall but I this time I can’t loose the workflows and credentials.

It looks like umbrel self authenticate to n8n internally, but now it does not work. Anyone with a solution? Thank you.

I dont use this app.

That being said several of umbrels apps have the user/pass in app store with the app.

If you havent looked there.

not in this case. As far as I know the auth is made internally from umbrel os to n8n (using a reverse proxy or something like that). But I don’t know why it breaks, and more importantly, why is no option to recover a password or regain access.

Curious. Have you tried the password reset suggested on the n8n support site?
