When trying to connect to the Mac, the second step, the Mac asks for a username and password to connect. What would this username and password be?

I tried as user umbrel and my password to access dashboar but it didn’t work. Any tips?

Just timemachine for both

Thanks for the password help. The last step is “disk usage limit”. My Mac is not offering that option to me. I can finish setting up and it will start backing up but I can’t figure out how to limit the disk usage.

I’m running into the same issue. I did try “timemachine” as both username and password, but still I can’t connect to my drive. Do you have any ideas on how I can get through that initial step?
